Who this course is for

Participants will have undertaken some form of covert training previously.  Cyber Crime and communication is the biggest threat to most organizations currently.

Stage 1 of the Cyber Intelligence course explores the web, social media and other forms of electronic communication.

Stage 2 of the course enhances those skills learnt and provides student with advanced techniques in engaging with subjects online and how to abstract best intelligence or evidence.

Course objectives

  • To understand the risks associated with running cyber covert intelligence operations
  • To learn in depth tactics and tradecraft for cyber intelligence operations
  • To understand how information obtained through social media and subsequent research and analysis directly informs operational decisions and activities
  • To understand how to fully integrate existing covert tools for cyber investigations with open source tools and techniques to enable operatives to engage safely whilst achieving best intelligence
  • To provide continual intelligence through ambient monitoring and engagement, proactive engagement on social media and reactive responses to threats identified.
