Who this course is for

This course includes all of the elements of the core RSAS Course but includes the complete behaviour awareness package and provides a deeper understanding of the National Intelligence Model, Community Engagement, British Transport Police Command and Control protocols and Major Incident Response.

The knowledge and skills learned will equip members of rail staff to become first class industry ambassadors and security and enforcement operatives.

The course prepares students to deal with and provide the initial response to most of the types of occurrence they will face and learn how to support senior management and police in responding to the most serious incidents.

This course in underpinned by accreditation from the University of South Wales and is delivered by experienced trainers and operatives.

  • Counter Terrorism;
  • Recording of incidents and continuity of evidence;
  • Crime Scene Management;
  • BTP Neighbourhood Policing and Community Engagement.
  • Observation, Assessment, Stop, Identify, Security (theory and practical)
  • BTP and local operating area policing profile;
  • BTP intelligence function;
  • BTP command and control procedures and visit to BTP Control Room.
