Who this course is for

Participants must have previously completed the 'Introduction to Intelligence' course.

This two week course provides analysts with the methods and thinking skills to become skilled intelligence analysts.

It enables analysts to develop the confidence to apply the right analytical techniques at the right times to influence decisions during intelligence operations and at a strategic level.

The course teaches analysts how to collect, collate, evaluate, analyse and disseminate intelligence, and enables them to turn information obtained through covert or overt means in to actionable intelligence. The course combines theory and lessons with carefully constructed practical exercises.

  • Understand the role of the analyst within an intelligence framework in influencing operational and strategic decisions
  • Develop key analytical skills and techniques
  • Understand how best to communicate and present analytical findings.
