Ian Learmonth

Ian was a senior police officer having served for 37 years and in four Police Force areas (Essex Police, Strathclyde Police, Norfolk Constabulary and Kent Police).

He was the Chief Constable in Kent for four years before retiring from the service.

Throughout his service, Ian led many high profile operations including some at the most serious level of criminality. He was the national lead for the police use of firearms and public order in Scotland and the national lead for public order in England and Wales.

Since retiring from the Police in 2014, Ian has started his own business offering advice and consultancy in relation to law enforcement. As a consultant for Top2% Ian has worked in partnership with the University of South Wales to deliver the Certificate module for an MSc in International Policing.
